The University of Oklahoma football team placed seven individuals on the first team of Phil Steele’s 2012 Preseason All-Big 12 Team. No other school placed more than three players on the 22-man offensive and defensive first team.The Sooners were represented offensively by C Ben Habern, OL Gabe Ikard, QB Landry Jones and WR Kenny Stills. S Tony Jefferson, DL Jamarkus McFarland and LB Tom Wort were selected to the first team defensive squad.

Jalen Saunders, a first-team All-WAC selection at Fresno State, has transferred to the Oklahoma football program, OU Head Coach Bob Stoops announced Tuesday. “We are excited to add an explosive player in Jalen to our program,” Stoops said. “He has great speed as evidenced by his yards-per-catch average and is someone who can contribute to our program in a number of ways.”

University of Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops announced on Wednesday that Quentin Hayes, Trey Franks, Kameel Jackson and Jaz Reynolds and have been suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules.

Student season tickets for the 2012 University of Oklahoma football season are on sale now to any currently (Spring 2012) enrolled OU student at the Norman, HSC or Tulsa campuses who will also be a full-time student in the fall of 2012.Internet ordering is available at SoonerSports.com. Ticket sales are on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the OU Athletics Ticket Office, located on the west side of Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Broyles Works Out for NFL Scouts Thursday

The NCAA career leader in receptions, Ryan Broyles, worked out Thursday inside Oklahoma’s Everest Training Center in front of scouts representing 12 different NFL franchises. Less than five months after suffering a torn ACL in Oklahoma’s Nov. 5 win over Texas A&M, Broyles clocked a time of 4.57 in the 40-yard dash.
